The subtle print on print

Goodness gracious me the last post has attracted so much attention and feedback from a wide range of  viewers and blog followers. I should make it clear though, following one feedback that made it come to my attention that I may have swayed a number of minds to think that the Aztec prints are African. If it did not already come out clear to you, I simply said the likes of the prints currently commonly known as the AZTEC prints globally is a common print in many African communities. The Aztec themselves are a Mexican tribe and for those of you who know this already, Mexicans are fond of and identify with patterns too. To be entirely honest really, many native tribes are, as there are really some prints which are Jamican inspired for instance and many other more.

However as an African myself, I took a moment of pride to recognise our feature as Africans on what should simply be termed a tribal season period, but commonly interchanged as the Aztec season, whereas the inspiration was sought not only from the Aztec tribe alone, but many other native tribes, African tribes inclusive in the lot. Hence my patriotic direction in the post. No offence intended at any tribe not mentioned and certainly not wishing to disturb the peace of any of the readers of the posts.

That aside and hopefully all clarity and correction made, I should think this is still very fresh in your minds as I did promise that you will be seeing it on the next post:

Truth be told I did not plan for this outfit as a post, so this was no speacial shoot. it had been a lazy Sunday afternoon just after church, when a few friends of ours from Uni invited us for an unplanned for barbeque, given that the weather was on a good behaviour that day, not entirely hot but not too cold either. So in a period of less than 30 minutes I had to come up with an outfit that was relaxed but off course being me, not too plain either. I like statements, I identify with statements. By that I mean I love it when my mood is reflected in what am wearing. Textile, colour, accessories, they all matter to this young Mrs right here. That's not to say that is all that matter as I would love to believe am not that shallow either.

Anyway on that given day this which you see above is what I resorted for. I do not have many pictures from that day as could not be a terrible visitor and get swamped in snapping shots. Again the available open space in which lighting was poor was also limited hence the rubbish bin that keeps popping at the back on attempt to achieve full body capture.

So in this outfit attention if you pay careful attention I wore:
  •   snake skin inspired mini skirt (worn with tights because was kind of cold & I find it modest)
  •   martenity fitted polka chiffon top
  •   Cream synthetic leather gladiator inspired heeled boots
  •   Boyfriend hat(bought on the male section as a matter of fact) accesorised with one of my         hairbands to match the colour mood
  •   Accesories in Gold (bracelets and earings) and Neon pink (nails and neck piece).
  •   I'd be darned to forget to mention my oh so precious peach toned suitcase inspired day bag
  •
    Happy viewing

Managed to sneak a few pics outside
